Here’s how Pronto! began:
Pronto! is Johnny Garver Jr. and Daniel Kaufman’s innovative introduction of quick-serve, fresh pasta on the UVA corner. Inspired by a recent trip to Venice, the duo saw the fit between a harried university quick-stepping on the corner and a delicious, convenient offering of melt-in-your-mouth pasta.
When you crave the lush taste of fresh pasta, made on-site before your eyes with a $30,000 Arcobaleno Pasta Machine, Pronto! is a good choice. You can choose between a half-dozen pasta varieties from linguine to orecchiette, then douse it with savory sauces from pesto to aglio e olio.
