First opening on the Corner in 1923, The Virginian still operates as Charlottesville’s oldest restaurant. Featuring a menu with traditional American food, the restaurant is most famous for its mac ‘n cheese with a hash brown on top. Although The Virginian is a very narrow venue, it holds a vast amount of Charlottesville’s history and functions as a charming atmosphere full of country music perfect for a night out on the Corner.
