Revalation Vineyards

30 miles north of Charlottesville in Madison County and west through the magnificent Hebron Valley awaits a smaller and newer winery named Revalation Vineyards, a name which nods to both discovery of perhaps biblical proportions and the nearby community of Reva, Va.  Part of the nascent Montpelier Wine Trail, the vineyards,  20 acres in total,  were planted by romantics Françoise Seillier-Moiseiwitsch and Julian Moiseiwitsch. Their setting offers stunning panoramic mountain views, magnificent sunsets, and a calming atmosphere — perfect for tasting wines sprung from its terroir. In what’s a cultural throwback only found in Appalachian viticulture, a beautifully-restored 1830’s log cabin is the tasting room that sits in the middle of a quintessential Madison County wine tasting experience.
