Opened in late 2021, Patch Brewing Company is one of Virginia’s newest breweries. Owners Jon Craig and Andre Xavier, who also founded Hop on Tours, have seen more breweries than you can shake a firkin at. They know what they’re doing! Arising in Gordonsville on 14-acres of what was once a VFW Post, the site of Patch Brewing Company. includes a picnic pavilion and 200-seat beer hall under renovation. Surrounding these are a baseball field, dog park, children’s area, adults area, and, coming soon, walking trails and more recreational activities. In other words, Patch is literally a micro-brewing theme park.

Patch brewmaster Erik Filip honed his skills at Three Notch’d and Devils Backbone before arriving here to extend his expertise, especially to lagers and pilsners.
What’s the significance of Patch, the name?
There are several reasons for the name.  One, it is in honor of the former VFW members and their military patches/service.    Two, we will have a blackberry patch (and possibly a pumpkin patch) on our grounds.   Three, we are adding elements to the brewery and our service in a patchwork fashion — growing as we respond to customer feedback and new dreams.
