Cumbre is an Argentinian bakery that opened on Jefferson Street one block off Charlottesville’s Downtown Mall in 2024. In the Summer of 2025, they opened a second location in The Dairy Market.
Cumbre, which means “summit” in Spanish, was brought to us by two Argentinians with a passion for Spanish-influenced baking, coffees, and teas. They also brought great intuition for the ideal location for their shop.
For many years, the Jefferson Street location was a traditional men’s barber shop, with stifling and tight. Cumbre has transformed it into an airy, bustling space with cafe seating inside and out.
A second location energizes The Dairy Market’s dynamic food court and spreads more Argentinian joy to happy customers.
Their baked goods are bite-sized and the perfect complement for your coffee drinks. Empanadas, available in a half-dozen flavors, will melt in your mouth and their sweet pastries are equally delightful.
