Duner’s Forever
First opened in 1983, Duner’s has long been one of Charlottesville’s most celebrated restaurants. It is located in Ivy, just five miles west of UVA. Here the stage is set for a memorable social and dining experience in an intimate and frequently bustling atmosphere.
Duner’s popular bar, 10 seats beneath an iconic mural of a Polynesian coastal scene, is available on a first-come, first-serve basis. The dining room extends into two adjoining rooms to accommodate over 60 seats.
The Dining Experience
Duner’s has always prioritized high quality food, changing menus, and friendly service. Newly acquired by Relaix & Chateaux chef, Christian Kelly, and his wife, Duner’s tradition of Franco-American cuisine continues to draw a loyal clientele. The menu includes crab cakes, mussels, fresh fish, lamb, beef tenderloin, house made fettuccine, and homemade desserts created by celebrated pastry chef, Linda Steiner. Duner’s enjoys offering an extensive wine list curated by sommelier, and general manager, Matt Blaszak.
Duner’s is open for dinner six nights a week (closed on Monday). The atmosphere is low-key but frequently busy and so reservations are recommended:
