is “an Intimate Southern Diner and Lounge” on the corner of Market and Meade in the Woolen Mills neighborhood with a lot to draw you in! If you’re hungry, Holly’s Diner has an eclectic menu that mixes classic diner entrees with spicy Central American flair. Burgers, meatloaf, and fried bologna along with fries, pimento cheese, and corn bread are as tasty and generously portioned as you’d hope but you can also mix it up with a burrito barbacoa, brussels sprout hash, or vegetarian penne and “meatball” poppers. Fried green tomatoes, homestyle collard greens, catfish po’ boy, chicken poblano pot pie…there’s really something for everyone!
Holly’s Diner has seating inside along with stools at the bar, where you’ll find a good selection of draft or bottled beers, cocktails, wine, and other selections. There are a few tables out on the front sidewalk but you’ll want to grab a seat inside to catch whatever is on the nightly entertainment menu. Wednesdays are Open Mic, Thursdays are Game Night, Fridays and Saturdays might be a local band, a DJ, Queeraoke, or a disco dance party!
Doors open at 5pm Wednesday-Saturday. Unlike a lot of other local spots, at Holly’s you won’t go hungry after hours. Their kitchen stays open until 1am and you won’t get sent home until 2.
