After a long and gratifying run, Peter Changs China Grill in Charlottesville decided to close its doors in Fall 2025. While the restaurant reliably served basic but artisanal dishes to an appreciative community, the ever ascending rents of Barracks Road proved too great. What Once Was
Located in the Barracks Road Shopping Center, Peter Chang’s China Grill provides Charlottesville with clean, authentic, and original Chinese cuisine. One of the most popular restaurants serving Asian fare in town, Peter Chang’s remains a reputable restaurant for a wide variety of food and beverages, both alcoholic and nonalcoholic. Chef Peter Chang cooks classic Chinese dishes, as well as meals with an interesting twist, such as the scallion bubble pancakes.
