Rapture Restaurant and Night Club is a lively destination Downtown. In fact, it’s four places in one.

First, with patio seating in the center of the Downtown Mall, Rapture hosts the best people-watching happy hour in town.

Second, while dining is available outside, the first inside space lays out nicely for lunch and dinner with a vintage casual-elevation that’s a Charlottesville trademark. In an open kitchen, the staff uses local ingredients and southern cooking to provide a unique twist on classic dishes. Along with a selection of craft beer, drafts, and an entire wine cellar full of bottled options, Rapture provides guests a serious dining experience.

Step further inside to find the third space, where the bar brings you into a darkened room with a pool table and upstairs gallery. It’s been called a draw for locals, but we’d venture that it’s also a joyful discovery for visitors looking for something murky and authentic with Cville flavor. Informed local gossip thrives here, and a visitor might get a quick education along with a happy hour beer or wine here.

Journey further back and downstairs to find Rapture’s fourth space, where live music pulses and lights glow with late-night aura. Here, vampires stir at late night.
