Orzo Kitchen & Wine Bar

Orzo Kitchen & Wine Bar, conveniently located on West Main Street between the University of Virginia and the Downtown Mall, has established its own niche. It uniquely channels the warm and gracious spirit of the Mediterranean, in its food, wine, art, and service.

Founded by veterans of the restaurant industry of Northern California and Charlottesville, owners Charles Roumelades and Ken Wooten made a  kitchen that focuses a modern lens on classic recipes of Italy, Spain, Greece and the South of France.  Featuring an ingredient-driven cuisine, a large and thoughtfully selected wine list, and a professional service team, Orzo is at once a casual neighborhood gathering place and a serious dining experience.

The interior consists of several private spaces and a long corridor alongside an open-kitchen. The walls are hung with sun- and sea-splashed mediterranean landscapes painted by Laura Wooten.
